I was born in the fall of 1980, in a small town in the center of Hawaii. As long as I can remember, I always had the ability to draw but duplicating photographs didn't make me an artist. It wasnt until high school that I was inspired by a talented art teacher who encouraged me to dig deeper into myself, into art, into expression. Ater high school, I worked around a liitle but never considered art as a profession. It was my stepfather who came up with the idea that I should talk with someone in a tattoo shop.

Up until then, I never thought of tattooing as I did painting or drawing. Then in 2003, I met Robert Hackney the owner of A Tiki Tattoo. I remember showing him some of my drawings and thinking, "how the hell am I going to pull this one off?" I didn't pretend that I had experience or that I was someone who deserved a job but Robert saw that I could learn and to my own amazement I got hired.. I will always be grateful for the opportunity he gave me..today I stay busy with art, I keep my mind fixed on what's important, with my head low and my eyes forward I press on..
